Where is GAL camp hosted?
GAL camp’s roots will always be based in Texas, but we’ve expanded into North Carolina as well! You’ll now be able to experience GAL camp twice a year, in two different locations:
North Carolina - March 19-21, 2027
Texas - October 23-25, 2026

What are the cabins like?
While this is a camp, we are adults now, who have come to value a good night’s sleep on a mattress. Each cabin has AC and Heat, kitchen amenities and bathrooms! Make sure to check out the accommodations page for NC here and for TX here for the details on each location’s specific lodging accommodations.
Can I come alone, or do I need to come with a group?
You can absolutely come as a solo camper! There are individual twin beds at both our North Carolina and Texas campgrounds. Coming as a group? Bring that bestie energy!! You will be asked during checkout who your roommate preference is and you will just write their names in! Whether you bring a large group or come solo, expect to leave with NEW camp friends.
How do I make sure that I get to bunk with my bestie?
There will be a space for you to put your requested roommate’s names! We do our damndest to make sure that you lodge with exactly who you want, but sometimes people have to spread around.
If you have a larger group, it’s really just a numbers game based on how all the other groups are split up and the different rooms. So fingers crossed for a beautiful lodging assignment split! Also feel free to email us directly to chat about it!
Is GAL camp completely private?
The experience of GAL camp is completely private. All organized activities will take place in areas that are for GALs only. There are, however, a couple of areas that are open to the public.
For our North Carolina Campground, there are a few cabin and campground spots that are booked through camp host. Most of the cabins are for GAL camp only that weekend, and the pavillion is private for our use only!
For our Texas campground, it’s all us baby! Pools, cabins, and grounds are reserved for GAL campers only that weekend.

What is the refund policy?
We understand life, emergencies, tragedies, and pandemics happen, but due to the nature of this business, no refunds of any kind are allowed. If for any reason you can not make it to camp, you are more than welcome to transfer or sell your ticket to someone else. GAL camp will not be responsible for collecting, and refunding if this transaction takes place. Please note all items are custom-made with each camper’s name and information, so no guarantee can be made that items can be updated in time with new camper info.
