Where is GAL Camp hosted?

GAL Camp’s roots are in Texas and it has expanded to North Carolina, with events held in both locations.

Upcoming dates listed on the site are North Carolina: March 27–29, 2026, and Texas: October 10–12, 2025.

Can I come alone, or do I need to come with a group?

You don’t need a group, but you’ll share a queen bed with a bestie unless you choose to book a whole bed yourself. Whether you arrive solo or with friends, expect to leave with new camp friends.

What is included with the purchase of a ticket?

Tickets typically include 3 days/2 nights of cabin lodging (shared queen bed), 2 dinners, 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch, an official GAL t-shirt, crafts and supplies, games and competitions, music experiences, and more.

What are the sleeping arrangements?

Accommodations are adult-friendly with mattresses in cabins. Details vary by location—see the NC and TX accommodations pages for specifics.

How do I make sure that I get to bunk with my bestie?

There’s a space to request your roommate(s). The team does its best to honor requests, but larger groups depend on overall rooming logistics.

Is GAL Camp completely private?

All organized activities are private to GALs. Some campground areas may be public depending on the venue; for example, North Carolina’s RV sites are booked through BRC, while the Texas venue is fully reserved for GAL campers.

What does a typical weekend look like at camp?

What is the refund policy?

No refunds are offered due to the nature of the event. If you can’t attend, you may transfer or sell your ticket. Custom-made items may not be updatable with new camper info.

Our new campground is tucked away on 400 beautiful acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains, about an hour northeast of Asheville. Surrounded by mountain views, a river, hiking trails and plenty of wide-open space, it feels secluded in all the right ways. There’s room to explore, gather and get into just the right amount of camp trouble.

For the ultimate camp experience, grab a spot in the Bunkhouse! This shared lodging sleeps up to 40 campers under one roof, making it perfect for anyone who wants to be right in the middle of the action. Think grown-up summer camp sleepover: bunk beds, roommates, getting ready together and plenty of late-night recaps. Bunkhouse includes a commercial kitchen, coffee bar, flat screen TVs and washer and dryer.

Prefer a little more space and privacy? Our cabins come in a variety of sizes and layouts, giving you a cozy home base for the weekend. With private bathrooms, kitchens, linens and comfortable living spaces, you’ll have all the essentials for resting up before doing it all over again tomorrow.
